Heather Laubach earns scholarship to the University of Montana Western

Heather Laubach, a resident of Gardiner, Mont., earned a scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year at the University of Montana Western.

Laubach received an Ersel Webb Sharples Memorial Scholarship valued at $700.

Laubach is currently pursuing a degree in elementary education at Montana Western.

The University of Montana Western Foundation distributed over $250,000 in scholarships for 2011 and 2012. All of the scholarship money is made available through the generosity of private donors.

Established in 1893 as Montana's first teacher education institution, Montana Western continues a tradition of educational innovation as the first and only public four-year university to offer a block-scheduling program under which students take one class at a time.
